Labor Day

So what comprises a lovely Labor Day?

it should start with sleeping in - check

A few kids around - eight checks

Then a parade would be nice - check

Sitting with friends - double check

Putting up some peaches - check

Cousins visiting for dinner  - check
games  and  - check
chatting - and double check

it helps to have beautiful sun-shining day

Labor Day

Most Labor Days, of the past decade, have been spent on the west beach of Medicine Lake with friends, sunshine, water and food. Thankfully, due to gracious friends, we were able to keep the streak alive. Lake Michigan is a slightly larger lake and a slightly colder lake, and no pig roast. Jet skis are jet skis, sun is sun, good friends equate with good times.

We went to Michigan City.
A great sandy beach - uncrowded and clear water.
A wonderful close of the season.


With the dunes right there the only thing missing was Matt and Honor.
