This was a quote used in a sales meeting at work the other day. The woman using it spoke in context of driving better sales operationally and through better training. I liked the quote enough I immediately tweeted it. Then tonight looked it up. I found it to be the title of a faith-abased book by Terri Savelle Foy, where her focus is http://www.terri.com/store/products/36-make-your-dreams-bigger-than-your-memories.aspx Don't let your past keep you from your future. The essence of which life might have been bad and tough but you can yet be redeemed.

Interestingly, in hearing the phrase i had a different thought strike me.
I thought of the return missionary whose two years were the best of his life and never rises higher; of the high school jock who never has another highlight or prom was their best date. These are wonderful memories;these are life highlights BUT not the stopping point.

Life needs to be a continual rich experience. We need to live forward. We need to create new memories. We always need hope and goals and dreams. New challenges to overcome, new dreams. So yes I concur
