Though it is encyclopedic in identifying the symbols it falls short in the definition. Many are left as- it appears as ... , one could infer that ... , scholars have thought ... . In the later case many of the footnotes have the appearance of scholarship but when read fall into conjecture , heresay, or family history. Often not more than a personal experience or feeling related by someone that gives his or her impressions regarding the temple
